On March, 7th 2012, CISE hosted an under 18 boys’ soccer tournament. There were 7 other schools participating in the tournament, which included BCCIS, MAC, Hayah, CES, TBS, Narmer and EBIS. The tournament commenced with two matches; CISE vs. Narmer And Hayah vs. BCCIS. With a 2-1 win against Narmer, CISE was off to a good start, but unfortunately things weren’t going so well for Hayah who lost 4-1 against BCCIS. The two next matches were played and ended with a 2-0 win for EBIS against MAC and a 2-1 win for TBS against CES. Seeing how CES did not win any matches so far, it was crucial for it to try and win this match against BCCIS. BCCIS defeated CES in the end though with a final score of 4-0. Things weren’t looking so good for CES but they didn’t lose hope yet. Meanwhile, EBIS achieved it’s second victory with a 3-0 win against Narmer. After EBIS’s victory, the team was getting ready to play against CISE and TBS was preparing itself for it’s 2nd match. After 2 well played matches, CISE defeats TBS and Hayah achieves its first victory with a one goal difference. With only 3 matches left before the semi finals, each team had to ensure that it played to the best of its abilities in order to make sure they made it to the semi finals. BCCIS, playing its 3rd match once again proved its excellence wÍth a 5-1 win agains TBS. Meanwhile, Narmer and CES were fighting to accomplish a victory, but unfortunately they were unsuccessful. Almost tying with MAC, Narmer loses with a final score of 3-2 and with that Narmer, does not make it to the semi finals. Similiarily, CES loses it’s final match against Hayah and thus destroying any chances of making it to the semi finals.
Being in 1st place in group A, CISE was scheduled to play the semi finals against Hayah, who were in 2nd place in their group behind BCCIS. At the same time, the second semi final match was taking place with BCCIS, first on it’s group was playing against MAC, 2nd in it’s group. The two semi final ma
tches ended with a victory for CISE and BCCIS, advancing them to the finals. CISE beat Hayah 1-0 and BCCIS beat MAC 5-2. After a long and well played match, BCCIS defeated CISE in the final match. Hence making BCCIS the winner of the tournament and placing CISE in second place behind them. Congratulations to BCCIS on their amazing accomplishment and their very well played matches.
CISE has proved to have improved drastically during this tournament and although they were not successful in their final match, their accomplishment was very honourable. Making it to the finals was an amazing accomplishment that made all of the school proud. Congratulations to all of the team members who fought really hard to make it to the finals.
