Caps in Motion
by Melanie Seifert - Monday, 29 April 2013, 03:14 PM

Our Caps in Motion Contest this Sunday, April 28.
It will run from Sunday, April 28 - Thursday, May 23.

The idea is to collect as many plastic caps to contribute to making a wheelchair. It takes one tonne of plastic caps to make one high quality wheelchair. the charity we work with is called Farahhom wa Es'edhom.

Eco-team has decided to accept any kind of caps (not only bottle caps). Caps from milk, soda, peanut butter, softener, old markers, glue stick, etc. will be accepted. Our weekly tally, which classes need to fill out at the end of the week, will be in the foyer along with boxes where caps will be deposited. The winning classroom will receive a pizza lunch.

In addition, there have been some questions in regards to plastic bottles being collected along with the caps. We are looking for all kinds of recycled items (bottles, glass, paper, etc.) which of course can be sent to the recycling area. Goods will be weighed and exchanged to buy school items for girls which families are less fortunate in supporting their education.
